Keenan and I met in high school on our combined school swim team. After the first practice, I asked a teammate for his AIM screen name, he complimented my Grateful Dead license plate cover, and our fate was sealed.

We kept in touch with short text exchanges in the years following our lackluster swim careers, but really started to reconnect in the summer of 2017. I planned a visit to Montana, then planned a move to Montana.

*Fun Fact: While canoeing Lake McDonald on my visit, Keenan announced that the next time we were in a boat together, he’d probably be proposing. (He did not propose the next time we were in a boat together).

It was worth the wait! After the best five years and total-surprise proposal, we’re so excited to lock this thing down!
